Announcement of New Initiative & Foundation Courses

Since beginning their initiative in 2007 for furthering the work of Liane Collot d’Herbois in North America, Painting Therapists Pamela Whitman, from California, and Marielle Levin, from Colorado, have been offering a variety of courses in Light, Color and Darkness. Their goal is to bring work in Light, Color and Darkness more into the world and thereby create a foundation for a school where individuals in the U.S. and Canada can experience and study the insights of Liane Collot d’Herbois and their application in Painting Therapy. Included in this work is fostering an awareness of this therapeutic approach among Anthroposophic physicians, as well as the general medical world. This pioneering effort is supported by extensive collaboration and on-going research.

AppleMark

A series of up to four six-day intensive foundation courses in Light, Color and Darkness, and the study of the healthy human being, have been taking place twice a year since 2009 in three locations: Denver, CO, Fair Oaks, CA, and Spring Valley, NY. The foundation courses provide a unique opportunity to really dive into the world of Light, Color and Darkness. They are an excellent preparation for those potentially interested in studying therapeutic painting and also for the artist who is striving toward deeper levels of artistic understanding and expression. Each course stands on its own and can be taken independently as a path of self- development. Students can receive credit toward a future schooling in Painting Therapy in this country or at any of the established schools abroad (see listing on Education Page) for work done in these courses.
